Today I had the overwhelming desire to communicate.  Perhaps its because I've been starved for communication in the past weeks.  Reason being, I'm in France living with Jon Hegner.  Katharina my best friend and wife stayed in Scotland for work.  And Jon has also been in and out of his apartment with all that he has to do in his pastoral ministry.  Plus when I do get together with people, everybody speaks French.  And although my French is improving, I still need absolute concentration in order to participate. This arrangement has given me plenty of time to think and reflect (perhaps too much).  Thus I'm bursting with the longing to connect, even via internet.

Nach langem Schweigen ist es jetzt wohl an der Zeit, Euch allen ein Update bezüglich unserer Situation hier in Schottland zu geben... Die gute Nachricht gleich vorneweg: ich habe die zweite Woche in meinem neuen Job(!) hinter mir. (Die gute Nachricht hierbei ist nicht, dass ich zwei Wochen überstanden habe, sondern dass ich überhaupt einen Job habe.)
